Dixie ComeauAs a communications and change management expert, I have extensive background in Internal Communications and Change Management strategies and initiatives. For over 20 years in my corporate life, I created and managed internal communications functions and led enterprise-wide change initiatives.

For example:

  • At Underwriters Laboratories Inc., I was the lead communicator for years-long Reengineering initiative that helped UL redefine itself from “safety certifier” to “trade facilitator.” As a core member of the change team, I was trained in process redesign, change management and strategic human resources processes. Eventually, I led some of the company’s reengineering projects.
  • At Newsday, I created a highly regarded Employee Communications function. We improved communication flow and strengthened employee engagement during a period of continuous change due to declining readership and advertising. I worked closely with the Publisher and top executives to develop and implement change communications plans that kept employees informed and engaged as Newsday was sold to Cablevision.

As a consultant, I specialize in working with the leaders of businesses undergoing change.  Some examples:

  • Brookhaven National Laboratory – communications and change management consulting to Chief Human Resources Officer to support the restructure of the HR function
  • Fraud Analysis Control Technologies – writing, editing and consultation to Chief Information Officer to support testimony for NY State Senate, discussion with Federal agencies, and product instruction manuals
  • Leica Microsystems – provide ongoing communications and change counsel to the Vice President of Human Resources at this major global medical equipment company

The change journey is hard, and it’s good to have a partner with expertise to keep you focused, on track, and driving for results.
